with student panelistsThis event provides a forum for students from across the state to pose poignant questions to the Florida Children and Youth Cabinet about the state of children's issues and services. The 20-member Cabinet chaired by Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp, is comprised of government officials, policy makers, and children's developmental and advocacy experts. The Cabinet will hear from a twelve member student panel, selected from a statewide pool of student applicants.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place during the Children's Week "Children's Capital for a Day" celebration. The event will be filmed for statewide broadcast on The Florida Channel.

To nominate a middle or high school student to participate on the 12-member student panel, please download our Student Panel Application. Completed Student Panel Applications must be turned in by the 2011 deadline (TBA).
